Here below you will find information regarding the accommodation made available to you during your stay in Iceland, as well as information on some of the leisure activities on offer.
Radisson Blu Saga Hotel
Radisson Blu Saga Hotel is located in the heart of Reykjavík‘s west-town district, close by the downtown of Reykjavík. The hotel being one of Iceland‘s leading business hotel, known for high quality and professional service.
The conference itself will be held at Radisson Blu Saga Hotel, which is in close approximation to the University of Iceland campus.
On the 8th of November, confrence guests will be invited to a dinner at Saga Hotel.

Nordic Visitor – package trips with tourist attractions
Nordic visitor offers a variety of tours to Iceland’s most popular tourist attractions, ranging from day trips to overnight stays.
Three packages are offered to conference guest spanning three days, all of which include a trip to the Blue Lagoon and if conditions permit, a Northern Lights Tour. Included in the packages is accommodation for the duration of the excursion.

The first package includes a trip to the Blue Lagoon where guests can unwind and relax in the geothermal spa. After relaxing travelers are then offered a Northern Lights tour, should conditions be favorable. The following day includes a tour around the Golden Circle where travelers get to see Þingvellir, where the Icelandic parliament was established in 930. The world famous Geysir hot spring, Gullfoss one of Iceland’s most beautiful waterfall. The trip then concludes with a trip through the interior Langjökull glacier, the second largest Glacier in Europe.
Second package available offers a trip to the Blue Lagoon where guests can unwind and relax in the geothermal spa. After relaxing travelers are then offered a Northern Lights tour, should conditions be favorable. The next day starts with a drive to the West of Iceland, along the highlands, leading to Kaldidalur Valley and Langjökull glacier. At Langjökull you will have the opportunity to venture “Into the Glacier” learning about the glacier as you go through a man-made tunnel. Travelers are then brought to Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls, along the way to Hvalfjörður a stop takes place at Reykholt, home of Iceland’s greatest saga writer Snorri Sturluson. Continuing on the route brings tavelers to Deildartunguhver, Europe’s most powerful geothermal spring. The trip concludes in Reykjavík late in the afternoon.
Finally, the third package includes trip to the Blue Lagoon where guests can unwind and relax in the geothermal spa. After relaxing travelers are then offered a Northern Lights tour, should conditions be favorable. The following day takes you on a tour to Gígjajjökull, a glacier from Eyjafjallajökull. From there the tour continues to Seljalandsfoss, offering visitors the opportunity to walk behind the famous waterfall. On the way a hidden canyon with unique flora is explored. Then travelers stop for an Icelandic picnic (included), before heading through areas not accessible by normal cars. The route shows off areas badly hit by the eruption of Eyjafjallajökull, driving to the beginning of the eruption and drive across glacial rivers. Along the journey to Skógafoss you will experience views of the Atlantic ocean, before heading back to Reykjavík
The biggest event during your stay, except for NRWC of course, is the Iceland Airwaves Music Festival! The festival starts on November 7th and ends on November 10th. The main focus of Iceland Airwaves through the years has been to highlight new musical talents, both local and international. It offers a diverse line-up of many different genres, giving patrons a chance to both find new bands in their favorite genre or broaden their musical horizon. Other leisure activities

The Blue Lagoon is located close to the Icelandic town of Grindavik, approx. 43 mins drive from Reykjavík. This is one of Iceland’s most popular attractions, offering guests an excellent spot for relaxation. Many packages are offered, a reservation for a trip to the Blue Lagoon is needed.
