NRWC's 2014 Doctoral Colloquium

In 2014 Center for Retailing at the Stockholm School of Economics will host the inaugural NRWC Doctoral Colloquium. The aim of this colloquium is to provide PhD students with professional skills for their academic career. In addition, the colloquium provides an arena for networking and relationship building among young Nordic scholars within the field of retailing and wholesaling, ensuring that the region can provide high quality research for the future.

During the colloquium, a selection of renowned scholars from different fields will give interactive lectures and workshops on various topics related to the research process, professional development, as well as contemporary issues in retail and wholesaling research. The colloquium gives PhD students the opportunity to learn from the insights and experiences of senior scholars. Furthermore, PhD students will meet their peers from different countries and start or continue building their international network that will be valuable throughout their academic career.

The NRWC Doctoral Colloquium will take place on November 4, 2014 and is open to doctoral students taking part in the NRWC conference at the Stockholm School of Economics on November 5-6, 2014 (see separate call for paper). The sessions will start around 10.00 and end with a social event in the evening.

To participate please send a one page description of your dissertation project including a brief motivation on why the doctoral colloquium would be important for you in developing your research. The number of participants is limited and the selection will be based on the fit between research interests and NRWC as well as your motivations.
