PAPERS SUBMITTED TO THE NRWC – JOURNAL

Papers submitted to the NRWC are also, unless explicitly unwanted by the author(s), submitted for possible publication in a special issue of the Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services (JRCS). Ulf Johansson and Jens Nordfält are guest editors for the special issue. The special issue from the last NRWC is currently In Press and can be found at the journal homepage:

Review process

The review process for the special issue follows the regular procedures of the JRCS, that is, a double blind review process. All papers, unless judged improper for the journal in question (i.e., unfinished papers, or papers covering to the journal irrelevant topics), will be sent for review. All authors are contacted about the progress of their papers.

Authors should follow the guidelines stated at:
http://www.elsevier.com/wps/find/journaldescription.cws_home/
30446/authorinstructions

Please note that due to the large number of simultaneous submissions the review process may take longer than what is normally expected. However, all authors could expect some information about the progress of their paper by the end of January 2011.

PAPERS SUBMITTED TO THE NRWC – ANTHOLOGY

Some of the papers submitted to the NRWC will be chosen for possible publication in an edited volume. The aim of the anthology is to reflect a broad perspective of Nordic retailing research and will address practitioners as well as researchers. Malin Sundström, Ulrika Holmberg and Johan Hagberg are the editors for the anthology and the publisher will be Centre for Retailing.

Papers that show new perspectives, theories and methods regarding retail research are of particular interest for the anthology. In addition, the different papers included in the volume should represent a variety of methods and/or retailing phenomena.  Authors considered for publication in the Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services special issue may also be considered for publication in the edited volume.

Review process

The review process will have the following procedure:

  • The editors will review the submissions and select papers for possible publication in the edited volume.
  • Authors to the selected papers will be contacted by the end of January 2011 and be requested to submit a new version of the paper.
  • The first draft should be submitted in March 2011.
  • Editorial review and feedback to authors in May 2011.
  • Final submission of chapters in August 2011.
  • Final editing, indexing proofreading etc.
  • Estimated publication in November 2011.
