Doctoral Colloquium

NRWC 2026 will host a Doctoral Colloquium dedicated to early-stage research projects. The doctoral colloquium takes place on November 4, 2026. We invite doctoral researchers at all levels of their PhD studies to discuss their work. Submissions to the doctoral colloquium should be made as extended abstracts (500–750 words, approximately two pages), prepared in English. The submission should describe your PhD project and, if applicable, briefly highlight the different papers. Please select “Doctoral Colloquium Submission” when submitting your abstract. Note that additional submissions to the main conference are encouraged and done separately.

Doctoral Scholarships

Five scholarships for doctoral students to attend NRWC 2026

The Hakon Swenson Foundation offers five scholarships of SEK 10,000 each to support PhD students specializing in retail and wholesale at universities and colleges. The scholarships enable recipients to attend the Nordic Retail and Wholesale Conference (NRWC) 2026.
The scholarship is intended to cover conference fee, travel, accommodation and other costs related to conference participation. Applications from early-stage PhD students are particularly welcome, and applicants are encouraged to present at the conference.

How to apply

Email your application to info@hakonswensonstiftelsen.se no later than 1 June 2026. All applications will be reviewed, and five recipients will be selected.
Please include in your application:

• Your PhD research topic/area, university, and how many years you have studied at doctoral level
• Your motivation for participating in NRWC 2026
• Whether you have attended NRWC before
• A letter of support from your supervisor
